Adopt a Family
The need for support for individuals and families within Goochland County continues to grow. In 2022, we assisted 236+ families with resources to enable Goochland County residents to receive essential food, clothing, and other necessities. We are able to offset a portion of this demand by finding adoptive families, such as yourself, to provide an individual or family with the same items our program would have provided if they were assisted within.
How it Works:
-Each applicant is carefully screened for eligibility within the program
-Approved applicants are matched with their adoptive family, business or organization
-We will contact you directly to discuss your options for providing assistance to your match.
We request you deliver your donations directly to your adopted family NO LATER than Saturday, December 9th, 2023.
This date is important as it is when the Christmas Mother Association wraps and delivers our own donations to other families within the program.
The deadline for adopting a family is Sunday, November 19th, 2023.

Help with Applications!
Applications for the 2023 season will be taken in person Saturday, October 14th from 9am-12 and Saturday, October 21st from 9am-12 in the Goochland Middle School Cafeteria. Volunteers assist with the actual taking of applications. We need both English and Spanish speaking volunteers. Those looking to assist with applications must attend application training.
Application training dates: Tuesday, October 3 @ 1:30 - 2:30 OR Wednesday, October 4 @ 5:30 - 6:30
